Considered the Book of Enoch is not included within the Holy Bible I am not sure it is completely accurate.The Secrets of the Book of Enoch says that the souls of animals will accuse a man on the judgment day if he had treated that animal badly.

A fascinating yet frightening look behind the scenes in heaven, it is a book handed down to Methusaleh by his father Enoch before the Flood and yes, angels could write and yes, Enoch was a scribe. It's intention is to be a warning to generations to come. It explains judgement on various generations and the form thereof as well as God's intolerance to sin and disobedience which started with the fall of Angels and their destiny. It explains situations we, as Christians, often ponder on. Here we find a lot of answers, and it is a shame that this book is not better known or read by God fearing Christians. I highly recommend it, very appropriate for these last days.

This book helped me to understand parts of the Bible that were sometimes unclear, and for me it brought a whole knew understanding to what was happening in the Old Testament and brought the New testament up to modern times and what is going on in the world today, but mostly it helped me to understand why there is so much hatred for GOD, Israel and America at this time.

This book isn't for everyone. It's for those seekers who know that there is more to the Bible than what is being taught. But if you're the kind of person who holds on to every word your pastor says as if it's law, then this book isn't for you.

This was one of the best books I have ever read! The book of Enoch was once loved and considered just as valid as any other book of the Bible. The era in which Enoch was given is the origin of many quotes given by the prophets, by Y'shua and his apostles as well that are found throughout scripture. It gives full explanation of the 'giants' (only slightly mentioned in Genesis and the origin of evil spirits, and further gives the history of fallen angels. The book of Enoch, the earliest in ancient times, yields more prophecy of any other book and takes you on a ride from his day, through the flood, to the Messiah and onward to the end of days...all in one book. And why was it taken out of circulation?...because when it was discovered it transgressed the doctrines of Jew and Gentile alike.

This appears to be a print on demand copy of the book on Enoch because the date of publish was about 3 days before I received it in the mail. There is no commentary. The book is littered with typos, missing or incorrect words and is horribly formatted with pages containing widows and orphans and verse numbers floating in the middle of paragraphs. Sentences end without periods, then continue on the next line... what a mess.The cover has a nice soft touch velvet feel, but the cover text looks like it was output on a dot matrix printer back in 1989.Pretty disappointed with this copy and I'm only keeping it because I intend to highlight and write notes all over it, so I really don't care that much about appearances.

I've read this book twice online but wanted one I could have in my hands. The cover is amazing; it's almost like suede leather and gives that antique look which is so appropriate. No serious Bible student should be without this amazing book. I've found literally dozens of verses that are directly quoted in new testament, not just the obvious two.

The Ancient of Days has fashioned a well-orchestrated creation. Everything from humans to angles to luminaries to animals have a purpose, a calling. But some in the creation choose not to prescribe to their appointed roles.Enoch is blessed and given beforehand knowledge of God’s plan for the redemption of His sheep and the punishment of the rebellious.This book is not an easy read. I searched outside sources to help me understand what was being described in some of the visions given. Words in some sections of the book have double meanings.

Sometimes I think they are a bit pricey for a book to make lists - though I do love to make lists! - but they are beautiful and I always finish and enjoy the process. 52 lists for togetherness is a journal for one person to use which explores mostly who the person is and how they relate and feel (within themselves emotionally) about others in their life, their family, and in their community. Secondarily it examines the relationships in the person’s life (the reality of the relationships) and it helps define and identify one’s ideals and goals for what they perceive are healthy thriving relationships they would desire in the future.Once this insight is gained, the hope is that the journaler will use this new seld-awareness to formulate some ways that they can make changes in their life now to work toward creating or deepening their relationships in a healthy manner to move toward their goals. These relationships include friends, romantic partners, family, and community members. The actions taken are up to you.The intention is to answer one journal prompt a week, taking a year to get through 52 journal prompts. These journal prompts range from very quick to something that may need some pondering and consideration. This journal ideally is for women aged 18-22-24 or maybe a bit older. I base this opinion on the types of prompts that are asked are some typical teenage questions such as listing role models for healthy relationships as seen in books and TV and movies to help them get an idea what they hope to have in their future. There is nothing in the book to indicate this is for women who are engaged or married, or have mother baby bonds. Although older people could use this journal, some of it may seem too immature.I say this is journal is for women due to the design of the journal, there is a lot of pink and girly pastel colors with pretty photographs, many with pastel colored filters and pretty hand drawn imagery: flowers, seashells, women baking cookies, hearts, colorful balloons, pink flamingos, disco balls, female hands, female jewelry, so on and so forth.A journal in this style is a low-pressure option, to choose to take a year to do 52 prompts. I think this could help an older teen get to know themselves better. Here are some examples of the prompts:List the things that make you feel loved and supported by others.List the spaces in people and social media that bring you joy and inspiration.List your childhood favorites meal, school subject, fear, best friend, toy etc.List the qualities you would like to have if you were a superhero or villain.There are a couple of prompts that reference past romantic relationships which are more appropriate for 18+ year olds.I feel journaling can be a useful tool foe insight and sometimes is fun, this journal is on the light and fun side. Although I realized after reading it that I am not the target audience for this journal I do think it is a great tool for the right audience and have no objections to any of the content. Rating 5 stars = Love It.

I like this book way more than I expected to. I have never been one who enjoys keeping a journal but I do enjoy making lists and reflecting on life and what I need to do to improve myself or my relationships so the format of this book is right up my alley and I enjoy the time spent working on the lists. With a journal it's just free-thought, but this gives me a direction. I have looked up the previous books too because they will make good gifts for a few friends and family members who I think would enjoy these too.

I love all of Moorea Seal's books, but this one is by far the most creative and inspiring yet! I received this and the accompanying 52 List Postcard set, and a Moorea Seal gold pen to match–– a really fantastic gift. I'm loving filling it out and have already gifted another copy to a friend.

During the work on my master thesis ("Learning in strategic games") i bought several books about the topic. This is the one of them. Chapters 1 and 2 (Introduction, Fictitious Play) are really good introduction into the subject. The following chapters evolve the theory further giving some good ideas for practical implementation (I was writing a C program which had to be able to play the game and to learn). I would recommend this book to anyone interested in relatively new field - Learning in games.

An excellent treatise on some important work in the theory of learning in games. Fudenberg and Levine provide a good coverage of standard myopic play dynamics with a special emphasis on ficticious play and replicator dynamics. I particularly liked the sections going through the Kandori, Mailath and Rob (1993) model as well as Young (1993) on the evolution of convention.The treatments of dynamic systems analysis, elementary game theory, stochastic approximation theory, etc., are necessarily short. The appendices do not suffice for a reader without a reasonable background.Nonetheless an essential read for anybody doing serious work in learning, or wanting to know what all the fuss is about.

This book does not provide valuable information about learning systems. It demonstrates, that nonlinear dynamics can be used to describe a subclass of learning. I personally doubt, that this subclass is of great interest, because it neglects completely heuristic strategies in game playing. Besides this, nonlinear dynamics is only useful if the number of parameter of the system is small. I doubt, that these toy examples are sufficient to describe reality, e.g., economics.Moreover, the organization of the book and the style it is written in, is in my view not favorable.I guess, this book is for a very small readership that does not have to worry about the correspondence of a model with nature. But also from this perspective it can not be recommended, because it is not written well. Both thumbs down!

An editor and some pics or drawings would have been nice. I'm sure Mr Boutwell is supremely knowledgeable and all that, but it's hard to get past poor or no editing in a published book (the second para in chapter 1 ends in mid-sentence...I could go on). Also, sometimes pictures are just needed, like when you're trying to explain how to tell males from females...stop talking and just show everyone. Both of these problems with the book seem like they may have been cost saving measures (maybe time saving too). I bought this e-book, published in 2016, hoping to learn a bit more about growing cannabis, assuming that a book first published in the digital age would use technology appropriately. Guess not. Two stars.

A good starter book, it doesn't go into heavy detail, which is just perfect for getting your feet wet.

I'm not really sure why this is not showing a verified purchase, I bought it on amazon and paid full price...... anyway....... I purchased this book mainly for its blends. The essential oil and carrier oil profiles are just a plus for me. I like that this book has many chapters. It has many seperate sections, and it has a lot of information! It has over 800 essential oil blends, which I am very happy about, as it's why I ordered the book. The carrier and essential oil profiles are good, and I like that there are carrier oil profiles, instead of just essential oil profiles. There is also a lot of information in this book for using essential oils with children. I have an 18 month old daughter and I always seek the natural route first. I love that she has the blends organized according to ailment. There is a great section on skin care and hair care with essential oils and carrier oils, as well as insomnia, the two sections I have personally found most helpful so far. I have made several blends based on her information and all have been wonderful! There is also a section all about hydrosols and profiles for hydrosols. And there are even cooking recipes for using essential oils in food! I have been using essential oils for 10+ years, so this book was purchased for a bit of inspiration for blends. Now that I've stated the positives, here are the negatives. There are reasons I gave this book 3 stars, first because I am not thrilled with how thin the pages are (slightly thicker than Bible pages). It makes it harder to flip through the pages quickly, and I feel I have to be very gentle, as not to tear the pages. I also didn't see any rare oil profiles and I was very surprised there was no oil profile for or mention of moroccan blue tansy essential oil. I use this essential oil quite often and I would have liked for it to be used in some of the blends. This book came highly recommended by my essential oil supplier and I can see why! It does have a lot of information! But I would prefer more in depth information, honestly. I can see this book getting some use in my home. I have many books on essential oils and I'll add this book to the collection. I have included a photo so you can see how thick with information this book literally is! UPDATE: I wanted to update my review. I'm a little annoyed with the organization of this book. I also do not like the fact that many of the recommendations of carrier oils and essential oils for skin and hair, are extremely general. For example; every carrier oil is good for All Skin Types! There is not one carrier oil that is not good for all skin types! She does not give any absorption rates or comedogenic ratings for carrier oils. I've started to notice parts of this book that are lacking, and I would have thought being an edited version and the 25th anniversary edition, that this book would have more depth, better editing, and more organization. I'm a bit irritated now that I've had more time with this book and prefer my other essential oil books for reference. My favorite authors are; Julia Lawless, The Encyclopedia of Essential Oils (my go to quick reference), Robert Tisserand, Essential Oil Safety (he writes the book on essential oils!), and Kurt Schnaubelt, The Healing Intelligence of Essential Oils (thats his newest one, it is a wealth of knowledge) and my absolute favorite: Perfume and Flavor Materials of Natural Origin by Steffan Arctander, a classic that will probably never go out of print. I feel there are better choices as far as essential oil books go other than this book!

For many, this is the preferred reference book on the topic of essential oils. This book is informative and thorough. It's clear and concise. You will find yourself referencing it again and again. It's chock-full of recipes and long-standing remedies. One of the reasons people love this book is because the author is practical. She was an expert long before the essential oil craze. She wrote this in a simple clear-cut manner without any hype. Honestly, if you like essential oils you will appreciate this book.Additionally, this is the newer edition; it's the one you want. I'm very fond of this book. It's a treasure.

This is about the KINDLE edition only. I have a print copy of her first edition and loved it. I was hoping to update and what I saw, I liked a lot. I usually read on Kindle so was shocked to see that many pages were simply dropped out. A large number of the recipes for blends consisted of a single letter per line, when they were included at all. AMAZON, please re-do the kindle edition or take it off your list. I've requested a refund and ordered the print version.

Exactly what I was looking for! This book comes with tons and tons of recipes. I believe it has over 600! There is so much great info in this book that I couldn't possibly cover it all here. So you will just have to buy yourself a copy to find out! 😜 It does talk about different ailments and it will give you essential oil recipes. It teaches you a lot about essential oils so it is definitely great for a beginner. What I love most about this book is that I can look up an ailment in the back and it will send me right to the recipe I need to remedy it. I think this would be great for people who have a hard time sitting down and reading a book. It is also just a great reference to have if you are in a rush or just for everyday life! I highly recommend this book and I'm so glad that I purchased it. The price was great as well. Excellent reference. Tells me everything I wanted to know about essential oils and answers questions I hadn't even thought of yet. I have a fairly extensive collection of books on the subject but I won't need them any more.

Already have 3 books about essential oils and wanted this because of the vast information (over 800 essential oils recipes) and yes it's mostly about oil blends recipes for different conditions or diseases (well, we could come up with thousands of recipes) However, this book boast a very unattractive presentation and poor layout. I would prefer a book that provides plants and herbs pictures for proper identification them listing its properties, health benefits and cures. In the same manner, it would be nice to have a reference of the essential oils and diseases that you can actually read....Yes, you will need a magnifying glass to read that section. Most of the context specially at the beginning are loads of information about diseases and other elemental and general information about essential oils that you can easily access through the web. If you have basic knowledge about this subject you will find the beginning of this book worthless. I'm interested in Homeopathy, Ayurveda, and overall Natural Cures but this didn't do it for me. Although, I think Valerie Ann Worwood is knowledgeable about this subject, I think the method design or procedure taken to deliver such important information in this book was poorly done. Yes, there is a better systematic order and approach to this read.

Alan Blinder has been a prominent professor of economics at Princeton since 1971, with only relatively brief stints as Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve System, and as a member of President Clinton's Council of Economic Advisors. Despite his extensive background in academia, Blinder is able to clearly convey the causes of the financial crisis, the role of the Fed in averting Depression 2.0, and provide an insider's guide to the policy debates that occurred along the way. The book begins by setting forth seven principal "villains" of the meltdown, and then details how they collectively caused such great ruin to the U.S. and international markets. He also sets forth how improved risk management, higher capital and liquidity requirements, and certain other financial regulations may, but may not, reduce the likelihood of a future crisis. As he says, "only time will tell."As noted by many others, Blinder has an excellent writing style that is both informative and coherent. He explains the importance of the financial markets, comparing them to the circulatory system of the economic body: "and if blood stops flowing, well you don't want to think about it." Some have criticized Blinder's political orientation, and it is amply displayed: he twice mentions that President Bush "checked out" and Senator McConnell's statement that the single most important thing the Republicans sought to achieve was for President Obama to be a one term president. He is also overly critical of Secretary Paulson's proposed 3-page TARP bill, notwithstanding the excessive and endless political fighting over the 2,319 page Dodd-Frank Act. Blinder explains that the economic policy decisions that were made by the three principal players Paulson, Geithner and Bernacke were in many ways inextricably linked to politics, and thus it would be unreasonable to expect an assessment of this period to be devoid of politics. Blinder focuses on the economic implications, and largely praises the actions taken. In sum, this book is an excellent contribution to the analysis of the financial crisis.

Alan Blinder, a former vice-chair at the Fed's Board of Governors, doesn't break any new ground in "After the Music Stopped: The Financial Crisis, the Response, and the Work Ahead." But he has created a wide ranging and always readable account of the economic and business forces that created the Great Recession and the effective, but not perfect, remedial actions of the Federal government.IMHO, Blinder has also produced an interesting book that deserves wide readership. And for those of you considering "After the Music Stopped" for your book group, we have helpfully prepared the following questions, which will elicit discussion about subjects Blinder raises in FINANCE GOES MAD, the second section of this strong book. Our questions are:o Blinder identifies seven economic and business forces as the primary causes of the Great Recession. These are: inflated asset prices, excessive leverage, lax financial regulation, disgraceful banking practices, unregulated securities and derivatives, abysmal performance by rating agencies, and perverse compensation systems. Which forces does Blinder consider the "main villains"? Why?o In 2006-2007, the American residential housing bubble burst. What beliefs about housing created this bubble? How did the magic of leverage support these housing delusions?o By definition, investors who underestimate the risk of a bond overestimate its value. How did this dynamic affect the value of mortgage backed securities (MBS) and other bonds before the Great Recession? What policy at Greenspan's Fed exacerbated conditions underlying mispricing during the bond bubble?o In 2006, the five largest investment banks embraced a similar business model--that is, rely on short-term borrowing for funding while leveraging capital by 30-to-1 or more. At such businesses, what happens when the value of assets drops a mere 4 percent? Why?o When the bubble for MBS burst, a much larger associated bubble--that for leveraged bets on MBS--also burst. What was the role of derivatives in this second and larger bubble? What is synthetic leverage?o In 2005, subprime lending amounted to 20 percent of all new mortgages. And by 2007, more than half of all subprime mortgages were originated by brokers, not banks. What was the regulatory reaction to this change in the mortgage business? What was the justification for this reaction?o What is a derivative? Do derivatives hedge or create risk? Explain.o What is a credit default swap? Does a CDS hedge or create risk? In 2008, 80 percent of the CDS outstanding were "naked". What does this indicate about CDS usage?o In the 2003-2007 period, the balance sheets of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac shrank slightly while the balance sheets of banks and investment banks were roughly doubling in size. About the Author

I usually love Ann Rule books. She was one of the first true crime authors I read, and she remained my favorite for many years. But this latest offering feels rushed and incomplete, almost as if Ann herself is tired of writing the books and is still doing it solely because it's her job. None of the stories contains the kind of detail I have come to expect in an Ann Rule account, and as a result I didn't much care about the people involved. When I become blasé about a crime victim, I know it's time to quit reading.So I give this book three stars, because it IS Ann Rule, after all, and there are no glaring flaws, other than the rushed, "catch it in a sound bite" nature of the stories. Just don't let this be the book by which you judge Ann Rule's talent.

I used to wait anxiously for every new Ann Rule book. While, I don't judge this one as harshly as the last 2, because it was more than one story, I just have a feeling that Mr Rule is losing her edge. I believe getting too close and letting her personal feelings sway the way she writes, definitely hurts the telling of the story. And while I know that was what was wrong with her last 2 full length stories, I'm going to reserve that judgment for the next one. As far as this book, the 1st 2 stories were somewhat captivating, but the ones after that were very dull. I hate to give up on her. Some of my very favorites books were written by her. I'm going to wait.

I am a true Ann Rule fan and have read every book Ann has published. I do not enjoy the case file books as well as Ann’s full length books but that is my personal choice. I am always amazed at what some people will do, to get their kicks and this book is no exceptionTHE 1st case the BABYSELLER: Three decades ago, Jackie Schut was considered one of the most prolific “baby sellers” in the country. She traveled all over the US, murdered women who had just had babies, and then stole their babies to sell on the black market with her husband Harold who was also a pedophile.Geneva Clemons thought her newborn son, James, was adorable. What mother doesn’t? It did not seem farfetched when a roving photographer in January 1980 told Geneva that James had been nominated for a national magazine’s Most Beautiful Baby contest. Jackie, shot photos of James, and then returned the next day and asked Clemons and the baby to accompany her to nearby Decatur to receive a savings bond prize.Geneva met Jackie the next day. Jackie responded by drawing a .38. In Geneva front yard She seized her baby and fired two deadly shots at Geneva. The murder was witnessed by Geneva’s daughters, ages 5 and 7, who wailed as the photographer’s car peeled away with their baby brother inside. Harold molested Jackies own children and they took children to sell them on in the black market for $2000. This was just the first story in Anne Rules case files out of 6The next 5 cases are shorter starting with a Robert Baker who killed his wife Kathie Hill with a hammer while she was sleeping so he could go off and marry another woman. This case is sad as it concerns the horrific murders of the happily married couple Rod Pedersen and his wife DeeDee by Joey Pedersen who was Rod’s son from a previous marriage and his girlfriend Holly Grigsby. DeeDee is the innocent wife who had no idea the husband she would marry had a secret passed life and a son who would destroy her life.The next case concerns the life and times of a serial rapist by the name of Michael Smith. He was eventually caught and given a lengthy prison sentence.The last case concerns the exploits of Arthur St. Peter who had a life history of armed robbery and other felonies and who eventually shot two married people.If you love Ann Rule like I do then you will enjoy reading this book. Just remember there are a lot of sick people out there who without Ann rule investigative journalism we would never know about.

Ann Rule is a veteran of the genre. I have read many of her books, some have been very good, others not so great, but with her latest offering, Lying in Wait: Ann Rule's Crime Files, Vol 17, I found the stories well written, and for some reason I kind of like Ann Rule more after reading it. In the early pages she says that if anyone that reads her books, learns to be more weary of their human counterparts, and become less of a possible victim, then she feels her job is well worth it. I really liked that she said that, for if there is one thing I have learned from reading True Crime from years and years, kind of a morbid fascination as to how far humans are able to go in their evil pursuits, is that I have become highly cautious in just about any occasion. The stories in the book, specially the first ones, are horrific in nature, and Mrs. Rule writing is clear, and easy to follow. Plenty of photographs add to the overall value of the book, and yes, some of the stories at the end are relatively short, and in no time one starts to read them and they are finished. I am convinced that there always is someone plotting evil acts, and that when it comes to these sort of criminals, the only solution is to be armed and ready to respond to any possible harm they may want to inflict. The time for the innocent victims that stopped to pick up shady characters on the side of the road, or befriended an absolute monster, or the many ways in which evil may cross paths with nice people, the time for the bad people to have the upper hand is hopefully coming to an end. It is better to be distrustful than trustful, specially with people one knows very little about. Ann Rule's latest book was read very fast. That happens when one has been reading books for decades, their speed to tell a good story and devour a book, can be something to consider but thankfully this particular book cost a modest price, so in the end it was a good bargain, and an even better read. 4 Stars.

Ms. Rules books are always highly detailed and well written, no doubt a result of meticulous research and her contacts with local law enforcement. After reading several of her novels and shorter stories, many share a sickening commonality. That being the pattern in our failed criminal justice system that all too often plays "catch and release" with the most violent criminals. Time after time it is shown that violent offenders are caught, imprisoned and then paroled, even after attempting murder while locked up. If that doesn't tell you law makers could not give a damn about the people they are sworn to protect, nothing will.
