The content itself is excellent, hence the rating of 4 stars. Highly recommended. The book goes into a lot of great detail in a rather clear and lucid way, something that is not usually apparent in tantric writing.The binding is really cheap however! After just one reading the cover on my copy came right off. All I did was read the book mind you, so it's not as though it was treated harshly!

The only criticism I have of this book is the title: calling it "the secret temple" is a marketing ploy, as this temple is a major tourist attraction in china (formerly in part of tibet). But, the essays are enlightening on tibetan buddhist art. I'm not sure that the comparisons to Bosch and Breughal hold up to anyone who knows anything about european art, but that aside, it gives a fascinating overview of the history of the dali lamas and their relaitonship to art. i'd recommend this to anyone interested in art, buddhism or tibet. also, excellent page stock, photographs and binding.

I really love buying new books and getting them in used condition. This one must have been sitting slouched on a shelf some - about a third of the entire book is bent and the corners dog eared. I wish I could have found this in a brick and mortar store.Story was fine, artwork varied from very good to atrocious, looking forward to part 2.

I get hooked by this after I read catwoman vol 2 and 3.I fought it might be interesting, but it wasnt. The main story sucks and thing happens because of reasons.I dont recomend it. Its a boring and expensive book

_Toss the Feathers_ is the definitive book on Irish set dancing. I bought a copy in Galway City, and it has saved me innumerable times. I carry it with me to all classes and ceilis; it's well-worn and well-loved. Besides the most common sets, Pat gives us notes for beautiful and obscure local dances. His introduction also includes an illuminating history of set dancing. Beware: you will not teach yourself to dance from this book if you have no prior knowledge of set dancing. However, it is ideal for supplementing your knowledge from classes. When two set dancers disagree on the "correct" version of a set, one inevitably pulls out a copy of Pat's book, and his judgement is trusted. All of us set dancing addicts are awaiting the upcoming sequel. Buy it now! You'll never regret this useful reference on bad days when you can't even remember how the Ballyvourney Jig Set begins.

As a step dancer with limited exposure to set dancing, I found this book a wonderful introduction. Although I cannot personally vouch for the accuracy of his notation, I know/ have heard of several who do. In any case, it is well written and researched.... An excellent historical guide. Probably the best Irish dance (step or set) book sold on Amazon.

This book is the most boring text I've read in my years to taking courses. Granted, it is a text book, so I'm not expecting epic adventure. But still, it should grab the readers' attention. After reading this book I feel like I've absorbed absolutely nothing.But, if it's required for your course, what choice do you really have right? Just be warned, you will most likely need to find alternate sources of information to actually absord. This book is awful.

Not a well written textbook. Had to buy it for a class. Disappointed in the organization and content. It has small print and large paragraphs, which make it hard to read and difficult to break out concepts. Many of the concepts written about were not in the index.

Content was ok and adequate, but a very dry read. Then again aren't a lot of text books? The price what kills it for me. It's currently priced at around $140 I got it for $123. Even at that price it still isn't even close to worth it. The book store at my college wanted over $200. That's an even bigger joke. We all know text books are a rip off by now though. Overall, I can tolerate it, but the price is absurd.

Good condition

It would be well worth purchasing this book for autodidacts and if purchased for school it should be kept as it makes a great reference book. That being said Amazon does buy books like these back at up to 80%.

I previously failed the exam but I only used the core curriculum question book to study.This book is great however it does not cover everything on the exam but it definitely goes over a lot. It has 2 practice tests with all the rationals that I found very helpful. I recommend it greatly, IN ADDITION to other study materials. I don't suggest that you only use this question book. I recommend this one and also the OCN SECRETS yellow-cover book. I also used some other resources and I finally passed!

OCN Exam Secrets is a great resource for concise study material for the OCN exam. I used it for about three weeks prior to taking my test (and passed) but I also studied with supplemental materials.Pros: It gets straight to the point. It's important to realize only about half the book is written information and the other half is questions/rationales. It's a GREAT way to study if you have very limited time because it does cover most topics.Cons: Because it is so short, you may need to also buy another book if you want additional test questions (there are only 165 questions in the book) or need more info on a topic for better understanding.I also studied with the Core Curriculum textbook from ONS and the Study Guide that goes with that book and contains hundreds of questions.Good luck!

The book is so much easier to comprehend than the Core Curriculum offered by the licensing site. I need to be able to understand what I am reading without a lot of fluff, but also without just reading straight bullet points either. This book is the best of both worlds, easy to read and understand while being short and concise on the subject matter. Using the two guides in tandem will be a definite benefit in my studies!

This was the only book I used to review for the test. I am a radiation oncology nurse so I have very little knowledge or dealings with chemotherapy but this book helped me tremendously! I passed! Thank God! I would definitely recommend it!

I like the book as it includes the answer and rationale for each. It is nice that it has an in-depth explanation. If before the idea of studying was the Study Book first and practice question, Now you can jump on practice questions book immediately.

I took the COM test once and did not pass, and I can see If I had used this to study with the last time, I definitely would have passed. It is very helpful and simulates taking the OCN test exactly. When I took the test, I had a hard time understanding what the test questions were asking. I think this guide really helps to prepare you to study for the exam in a more accurate way than just getting a review book. I would definitely recommend it.

Hard to find OCN practice questions that cover new stuff. The official study guides are way old and not at all relevant the most recent drugs and therapies. A lot of this stuff was on the actual exam. The guide has great explanations in the back. Very worthwhile to memorize most of what is in it. Very good investiment
